Current browser storage

Selected files, editing selections and output links live in page memory. They are not placed in localStorage, IndexedDB or server cookies by our tools. Public HTML, scripts, fonts and the background-removal model can be stored in the ordinary browser/HTTP cache. OCR may store downloaded trained-language data in IndexedDB through the recognition library. These are public processing resources, not your documents or recognised text.

The language is selected by the URL. We do not automatically track your language or location, and the current free site does not set an application login or payment cookie.

Optional measurement and your choice

The essential localStorage entry fyf-consent-v1 records only your yes/no choices, policy version and choice time for up to 180 days. It contains no document data or advertising identifier. Expired or invalid choices are treated as no consent. Google Tag Manager is blocked before consent and after an initial refusal; there is no unconditional tracking iframe. Ads measurement and personalisation are currently disabled.

Where an Analytics tag is enabled, _ga and _ga_* cookies distinguish visits after permission. Our Google tag settings limit these cookies to 180 days. Google processes its corresponding measurement data under its service terms and privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. It may involve processing outside the EEA under the applicable provider safeguards. Google account login and Stripe payments remain disabled.

Use Cookie preferences in the footer at any time to change or withdraw permission. Withdrawal stops our measurement events immediately, updates Google consent to denied and removes readable Google measurement cookies. Already-loaded Google code cannot be removed from browser memory; the next page load fully unloads it when consent is refused. Save your local result before closing or reloading the page. You can also remove all site data in browser settings.

Essential cookies when accounts are enabled

Optional account features will use a secure HTTP-only session cookie, an anti-forgery cookie and short-lived Google sign-in correlation cookies. They are necessary for the account action you request; they are not advertising consent. Session duration and sign-out are controlled by the account service. The authentication session lasts at most 14 days; correlation cookies are temporary. Signing out invalidates your session.

Following a payment link opens Stripe-hosted Checkout, where Stripe supplies its own necessary payment/security storage and privacy information. No Stripe script, payment iframe or card field is loaded on a free tool page.

Your choices

You can remove cached site data in your browser settings. The browser will then download its public processing resources again when needed. Blocking necessary account cookies may prevent future sign-in, but does not turn anonymous file processing into an upload. Optional measurement has equally accessible accept and reject controls and a separate unchecked selection. Your local workspace is not cleared when you change your choices.
